Visit to VNIIM by the delegation of the National Institute of Metrology (NIM, P.R. of China)

On the 1st of October, 2015, VNIIM received the delegation of the Chinese National Institute of Metrology (NIM) headed by the Director, Mr FANG Xiang. Other members of the delegation were Mr ZHANG Yue, Director, Division of Mechanics and Acoustics, Ms GAO Wei, Director, Dept. of R&D Management & International Cooperation, Mr WANG Yu, Deputy Director, Dept. of R&D Management & International Cooperation, Mr LIN Yandong, Deputy Director, Division of Optics and Ms ZHU Meina, Vice Director, Dept. of Quality System and Metrology Services.

The host delegation was headed by Mr. Nikolay I. Khanov, Director of VNIIM and comprised also Mr. Yuri A. Kustikov, Deputy Director for International Work, Mr. Alexey B. Diatlev, Head of Dpt. for International Cooperation in Metrology and Mutual Recognition and Mr. Nikita D. Zvyagin, Scientific Secretary and Head of Legal Metrology Laboratory. During the visit of the NIM delegation to VNIIM a number of current issues related to the bilateral cooperation within the MoU signed in 2013 were discussed and the participants from the NIM were given the opportunity to visit a number of laboratories where the State Primary Standards are maintained and to visit the Metrology Museum of Rosstandart.

Proposals of VNIIM for topics of cooperation under the MoU were handed over to the Chinese delegation. Chances are that some of them may lead to conclusion of important contracts. The Head of the Chinese delegation expressed his profound gratitude to the leadership of VNIIM for excellent organization of the visit and invited the Director to visit the NIM in China for possible signing of cooperation agreements.
